I have been running AWR on a proxy tunnel by editing the AdvancedWebRanking.ini file...
Virtual Machine Parameters=-Xmx512M -DsocksProxyHost=192.168.1.45 -DsocksProxyPort=8080
I added the last 2 parameters there. For updates this works great to run the AWR through the tunnel however for emails I need to disable the proxy and return that line to its original parameters:
Virtual Machine Parameters=-Xmx512M
Is there were a way to just make a connection to my mail server an exception so that it connects directly to my mail server without needing to edit the .ini file?

Hi Caleb,

I have looked over your error report (sent on 6 March 2009). Are you still getting the same exception when using socks proxy?
