Topic: dotted lines with rankings report

Hi there,

just a quick question - I couldn't find any info searching site, help documents, web & forum...

When there is a dotted line displaying the rankings/keyword report instead of a solid line, does this mean there is too few data (too few days passed)? What is the maximum of the dotted lines showing? Does that have anything to say regarding the validity of the report?

Thanks in advance,
Regards

Henning

Re: dotted lines with rankings report

Hi Henning,

AWR retrieves the ranking values relevant for the date when the update is performed. However, for the first update of a new project, we display "mockup" values for two days in the past, and draw the dotted lines so that the user can see how the chart would look like, once he performs subsequent updates. So, when you will update the project second time, this will no longer be displayed, you will see only the two updates you did.

Let me know if this answers your question and if you need additional information.

Best regards,

Robert

Re: dotted lines with rankings report

Hi Robert,

yes - this answer my question perfectly. Good practice regarding UX (see the "next level"), although this instance "backfired" because we didn't know what it meant. Maybe an info-bulb could clear that one? But maybe this is already covered with the initial 'tour' of AWR.

Anyways: Thanks!

Henning
