This can be done, with the Export feature, which is available only in the Enterprise license. If you have this license type, here are the steps you need to follow:

1. open the project where you need to export from

2. go to the Export -> Data Export -> New Data Export menu

3. select Current Rank and click Next

4. on this Report Input step, disable the "Include all keywords" check box, click on the Select button and keep selected only the keywords for which you need to export the data. Then, click Next

5. select the CSV option, be sure you have Comma as CSV Separator Character and click Next

6. select the location where the CSV file will be saved and click Next

7. If everything is ok in the summary, click Finish and give a name to this file

Now, you need to open the project where you want to import the data, the project that will contain all the information. Then, follow these steps:

1. go to Project -> Import menu and select the Import from CSV option

2. browse to the CSV file you just generated

3. on the same step, select the "Has header on first row" check box and also the "Import into the current project" one.

4. On the next step, you should see the column names. If everything is ok, click Next until the last step.

The Export feature from the Project menu, exports into a CSV (or XML) file format, all the data gathered so far, not only the last result. The current position is obtained with the printable reports, from the Reports menu, which is different.

On the Step 4, I told you the options you need to do to move the results for only one keyword.

It seems to have worked but now when I run the report it only searches for results for the new keywords ive imported (excluding keywords that were in the report already)?

Am I reading this correctly? This is regarding how you export project data to a file, in order to import it back into a different project -- as a way for the user to reorganize the keywords contained within projects.

Going by your previous replies and the information provided here (http://www.advancedwebranking.com/user- … 04s08.html), I can only seem to get part way through this process. (I am currently running version 8.6.)

The CSV export appears to work fine for the sample I try (all of the historical data I would want is there), but it's the import where the issues appear. The keywords and websites from the CSV file are now included, but the rankings data itself is not -- at least not completely.

During import, I find the file and check the box to Import into the current project on the first page. Everything else on the first four pages of the import looks accurate, so I've left it alone. On the fifth page, I uncheck the box that reads Do not import existing dates, and finish the import. However, when viewing the data, if each project was updated on the same date, the data for the imported project is not visible on these days.

It's as if that check box selection is not registering -- is this a known bug?

If I'm trying to take a dozen projects or so and consolidate them down to a handful -- combining data here, deleting data there, etc. -- am I correct in following the instructions referenced to finish this in the most efficient way possible?

Our developers tested this on multiple cases (with multiple import from CSV options and file formats) and it looks like there is an issue when you have the same update date in the current project and on the CSV file you try to import from. They will investigate this and find a fix for it.

Until this is solved, you can try to select the "Do not import existing dates" option and see how it goes. If this doesn't solve the problem, then you need to wait until we fix this.
