Yes, that DID work.
I reinstalled AWR 7.1 and luckily it saved ALL of my report settings. I just reset my PC clock to Sunday (All of my reports run Monday mornings starting at 1AM). I'll see if they run tomorrow AM.

No. The Windows application ran ... installed ... asked for my permission ... and then ... exit. It did not show me a list of applications to choose from. Any other ideas?

My AWR 7.1 will not run this week for my weekly reports. I manually tried to start AWR, but it would not start. The start screen simply flashed on the screen and dissappeared. So I re-downloaded 7.1 and the install stated, "The AWR.msi file from my 6.8 version is missing".
I am hoping that the AWR.msi file is NOT the file that contains ALL of my automated report settings!
Any help?

I am trying to update AWR 6.5 to the 6.6 version and it is trying to find the 6.4 version of awr.msi file. I have browsed, searched, gone to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301 ... still no good. Any help???
Is it OK to go to Control Panel /Add-Remove AWR ... then reinstall the new version? I have MANY weekly projects that I DO NOT want to loose! ... Rich B

I do NOT have Adobe Reader / Acrobat open. I have even looked in Windows Task Mgr, and no Adobe anything. I am thinking that you may have sent me this Adobe problem, when it should have been sent to GregMcD / Post 805.
BTW, these last few error reports that I have sent Robert / you are clients of mine that I send them reports in HTML.
Back about an hour ago, I deleted AWR anything from my tasks, rebooted and then tried another report. Same error msg!
"Failed to generate “XYZ SE Report”. Unable to access the file because it is currently open by another application." I am getting this error msg for most of my clients' reports!

I just cancelled about 2 processes in Windows Task Mgr.
I will do a few indiv reports and see if they are now "unstuck". I'll send you another note in awhile!

I fixed this problem about 3-4 days ago! I'll have to think real hard as to what I did. Preferences / Report Preferences / Customize Report / ... I made some change on this screen.

Thanks for your suggestions. I will schedule MUCH more time between each client's update. Maybe start the first one at 1AM, then 1:30AM, etc....
The "Be friendly to search engines" check box I usually have checked. I just had it unchecked yesterday for speed of trying to solve this "stuck" problem. All of the other clients, I have it checked.
In the meantime, how do I cancel each of these stuck processes? I ran a couple reports that I know gave me the error yesterday, and it still gives me the error - "Failed to generate XYZ SE Report. Unable to access the file because it is currently open by another application."
Looking in my Windows Task Manager (ctrl+alt+del) I do not see anything that looks "stuck".
When I try to close AWR, it gives the warning choice (Exit immediately..., Stop & Exit ... Continue running). I have tried to "Exit immediately", but it does not seem to cancel all of the stuck tasks. I then have to cancel AWR through Windows Task Manager (ctrl+alt+del).

I have about 40 some reports that are scheduled for Monday morning, for my clients. Only about 12 actually were sent out. They usually run fine!
I opened AWR 4.7 to see if the other 28 reports ran. I ran an update on many of these, and I keep getting this error msg.:
"Failed to generate “Barber Plastic Surgery SE Report”. Unable to access the file because it is currently open by another application."
I checked your forum, read through a few postings. It does NOT seem like another instance of AWR is running.
How can I get these other 28 reports to run???

My latest report I set-up some 3 weeks ago and it ran fine until this past week. After the update occurs, it attempts to send a report and this message box keeps coming up ... "Transformation Error" .. "Warning - Error sending email. Make sure the server settings in the Email tab of the Global Preferences are correct and then try again."
I went to the Global Preferences / Email tab and the "Sender Email" address and "SMTP Server" setting is exactly the same as all of my other reports (some 40 other clients). The Port is also 25, just like my other reports. I do not need SMTP authentication(no other client report setting is checked), therefore the box is NOT checked. Use secure connection is set to "No". No "Proxy Server" is used.
I have even deleted this project and started from scratch and it still gives me the same error. All of the other "Preference" settings seem to be exactly like my other clients.
Any idea as to why this error only occurs w/ this one project and not my other reports?

I had to go to every single one of my clients' settings and make this change, but it seemed to have deleted this mysterious line. Kinda a pain!
I also noticed (also around 2 weeks ago) that about 1/2 of my scheduled reports simply did NOT run.
When I went in and made the email settings (above), I was noticing out of the corner of my eye that the "Compared to .. Date" was in May. Hmmm?? Why did this occur? :?:

For the last 2 weeks, an extra line / sentence has appeared above the header for each of my weekly reports that I send to my clients. This line reads: "The report XYZ.com Ranking Report can be found at:"
It appears on all of my client reports and I have not been able to find the setting to delete this statement. Below this extra line, the header and report shows just fine.
Any idea as to how I can delete this mysterious sentence?

Since upgrading to the new version 4.5.2, all of my scheduled projects are not sent out, as scheduled...Only about 1/2 of them. A screenshot of my 40 some clients (http://www.richswebdesign.com/awrscreenshot.gif) shows that ALL reports SHOULD go out weekly, on Monday morning, @ 6AM.
For some unknown reason, usually about 1/2 of these are actually sent (Projects starting w/ the letter K thru Z). I have to go in a manually update / send the others. I have gone in a triple-checked all settings and everything matches.
Any apparent reason why?

In the "Visibility Reports" there are 2 lines that I have questions about.
1. How is the "Visibility Score" determined?
2. How is the "Visibility %" determined?
I would think the % is simply .. How many phrases show up in the top 10, but the number does not correlate. It is CLOSE, but not the same number.
Any ideas???
