Not sure how Advanced Web Ranking can help you?
We've created a small scenario that will help you experience and get accustomed to the way Advanced Web Ranking works. We will take a journey through some of it's most powerful features and will focus our attention on very useful and practical tasks.
Let's presume you work in the SEO field and want to check the web site's position of one of your customers on the Alexa, Google, Yahoo and Bing search engines.
Creating a project.
Now let's start building your first project. It's a very intuitive process. Just launch Advanced Web Ranking, go to Project -> New Project menu and a "New Project Wizard" dialog box will appear. Here is where you will enter first the website for which you want to check your ranking position. Let's pick www.cnn.com for this walkthrough.

Next, you pass on to the Project Keywords step of the wizard and add to the suggested keywords, the 'sport news' and 'space news' keywords. Now go to the next step and select the Google and MSN search engines for your project, pressing on the Edit search engines button.
Assigning colors to websites.
You surely want your website to stand out in the crowd when you later look at the top rankings. You can do this by simply assigning a color to your website. It's easy enough. Just click to select the website from the "Project" - > "Websites" menu and pick a color from the Color drop-down menu. So let us paint your website red.

Updating the project.
Now that you've created your project, you shouldn't feel concerned any more. So let Advanced Web Ranking do the hard work and check your website ranking for you. Press the Update button from the menu bar and wait for Advanced Web Ranking to finish gathering data from the search engines.

Check your website rankings.
When the update is done, all you need to do is check your website's position in search engines. Select 'sport news' and Google by simply clicking on them. The Website Rankings interactive report will present your rankings for the selected search engine and keyword. You can also see a more comprehensive view of all keywords for the selected search engine, by simply switching to the Keyword Rankings interactive report. It's easy! Just choose it from the top drop-down list.
Interested in your competitors' rankings?
That's what the Top Sites interactive report is made for, as it will show you the top ranking websites for the selected keyword/search engine combination. This is the same information you would obtain by manually searching via a browser. Here you can see which websites are your closest competitors. If your site occupies the first position, let's pick the next two and add them to your project. You can assign a color to each website to easily distinguish them later.
Interactive reports.
Let's have a look at the generated interactive reports. There are six types of ranking reports: Website Rankings, Keyword Rankings, Search Engine Rankings, Top Sites, Overview and Visibility. For each of the first three and the Visibility ranking report, chart views are available with your website's ranking evolution in time.
These interactive reports come with a set of filters for a comprehensive view of what is going on with your site or competitors' sites on search engines. This will help you sort the view according to the data you find relevant.
Website Rankings
This report presents the ranking information for all the websites in your project on the selected search engine, for the selected keyword. This way, you can see a comparative view of how all the websites in your project rank for the given coordinates.
The Website Rankings Report is tied to a date. By default, the comparison is made between the current date and the last update. But you can compare any date with a previous one by selecting the days in the calendar available next to the Inputs tab.
Keyword Rankings
This report presents information about the ranking evolution of the selected website, on the selected search engine, with all the active keywords in your project. This way, you can see how well your website is ranking for each keyword in your project.
You can easily filter the data in this report by selecting an option from the "Filters" drop-down list. The available filters are: All Items, Changed, Ranked, Not Ranked, Moved Up, Moved Down, Added, Dropped, In Top 3 5 10 20 30 40 50 or 100, Previous In Top 20, Top 20 Up, Top 20 Down, Top 20 Dropped, Moved More 5 Up, Colored. You can disable this option by selecting "All Items" from the "Filters" list.
Search Engine Rankings
This report presents information about the rank evolution of the selected website on all the active search engines in your project, for the selected keyword. This way you can see the position of your website on each and every active search engine in your project.
You can generate a ranking report for a previous date by simply selecting it from the drop-down calendar at the top of the window.
Top Sites
This is a interactive report presenting the list of all the websites (and their positions) for the selected search engine and selected keyword. This is the same information you would obtain by manually searching in a browser window. The Position and Website columns of this report have the same meaning as their counterparts from the Website Ranking Report.
This report also shows historical information about the search engine results. To see what happened at a certain date, all you need to do is select the date you are interested in from the drop-down calendar. The Compare To drop down allows you to compare the currently selected date with a previous date, to see what was changed.
Overview
The Overview report aggregates all the available information into one single report. It allows you to select one of the three entities (keywords, websites and search engines) as input and the other two are presented to you as outputs.
You can build the Overview interactive report exactly as you wish. You can actually select which data will be displayed on rows and which on columns. Therefore, you will be able to obtain six different views by combining in turn the keywords, websites and search engines with each of the other two.
Visibility
The Visibility report gives you an overview of the visibility of your website in the search engines.
At the top of the displaying area, you have available the lists of the three entities that you can select as input: Websites, Search Engines and Keywords. As outputs, you will have several criteria for comparison between the websites available in your project, such as: mozRank, Domain mozRank, First Place, In Top 3, Moved Up, Moved Down, Ranked, Not Ranked, Visibility Score, Visibility Percent, Site Rank, Average Site Rank.
Graphical evolution charts.
After analyzing these interactive reports, let's see all the information that has been gathered so far with the help of the rank evolution charts. As we have already mentioned, chart views are available for the Website Rankings, Keyword Rankings, Search Engine Rankings and Visibility reports.
The Evolution in Time views are graphical charts depicting the ranking evolution of the websites you are interested in. It shows nice colored lines, so you can exactly trace the period in which your website enjoyed a good ranking, or the period when it was not ranked at all. But notice that at least two days are necessary for you to see a relevant graph. Here You can choose a chart type for your report from the following:

Schedule updates.
As you need to update the ranking data for your project regularly, you may leave this task to Advanced Web Ranking to accomplish and save your time for other, more important things. It can do the updates for you, as often as you need, as long as you set the scheduler to start the update at the desired time and with the desired frequency.
Along with the updates, you can also schedule the generation of the reports you need to check after the update or even schedule the report dispatch to your clients, via email.

Report generation.
Now let's see what choices do we have after an automatically generated report. At the scheduled date and time, the application gathers all the data from the search engines, generates the report in any format your customers may like (PDF, XML, HTML, Excel, Text and CSV) and either saves it to a local folder, or sends it to you by email, or, if you're more demanding still, uploads it to a FTP server.
For these scheduled tasks, the only requirements are to have your computer turned on and connected to the Internet - and the application will automatically start and run in the background! Thus, Advanced Web Ranking will work for you and keep your customers satisfied. Advanced Web Ranking can fulfill all its scheduled tasks in the background, without even being necessary to have the application running.
Save reports to folder.
You can choose to have Advanced Web Ranking save the generated reports to either a default folder or to any other existing folder on your computer.
Upload reports by FTP.
You can choose to have your reports uploaded to a FTP server and then published on your website. Customers could thus easily see their reports by accessing their personal section on your website. Adding and using FTP profiles is just as easy as adding contacts to your Address Book.

Send reports by email.
Let's now focus on the most popular choice: emailing reports to clients. Let's suppose you are a Webmaster or a SEO expert and some of your customers want to receive their ranking reports in PDF and EXCEL formats by email, every week, on Tuesdays at 2 a clock. You would have to take your customers' email addresses one by one, attach the report files and send them. Don't worry - this won't be the case. It's just another great job Advanced Web Ranking can do for you! You only have to use another powerful feature provided - Custom Reports. You can schedule Advanced Web Ranking to update your ranking reports any time you want, generate them in one of the before mentioned formats and send them to the desired email addresses.
Search engine friendly.
Worried about how safe such a tool can be? Relax! Advanced Web Ranking is one of the safest tools you can find for this job.
With Advanced Web Ranking now you have the opportunity to stay relaxed and enjoy the website monitoring without worrying about using an automated ranking software, as our product can be extremely search engine friendly. The process of gathering ranking data for various queries and websites involves automated querying of the search engines.
This automated querying - if done abusively - has the potential of imposing a heavy burden upon the search engine resources (bandwidth and processing power). There are even known cases when certain engines had to take action against users that would generate immense amounts of traffic by doing an almost continuous automated querying. That's why you need a search engine ranking software who emulates a manual search through search engines and produces reliable and accurate positioning reports.
We, at Advanced Web Ranking, fully understand the issues related to automated querying. Our ranking software was designed with them in mind, so that it generates less or equal load than a user manually doing all the searches.
Advanced Web Ranking does each query page by page, pausing between two consecutive pages. For each engine, it will only do a single query at a time. We avoid doing unnecessary searches, by promptly stopping when all the user's websites were found (or when a set limit is reached). And, most of all, Advanced Web Ranking stores only one set of data per day, overwriting it in subsequent updates, thus making more than one daily update unnecessary.
Runs on all major operating systems.
You won't have to worry about the operating system compatibility, because Advanced Web Ranking works on your favorite OS with a suitable nice interface. It is the only website ranking software that runs on Mac OS X and provides more than 2000 search engines to search with.
