Performing automated queries for the ranking data
saves you of a lot of work but done the wrong way, it can also get you in
trouble. This happens when the search engines are overwhelmed by the great
amounts of requests made by a single user, and they take restrictive
measures against her.
That is why Advanced Web Ranking has taken the necessary measures to both respect the search engines resources and also gather complete and accurate ranking data for its users.
When performing its queries for the ranking data, Advanced Web Ranking acts just like a regular browser. It does each query page by page, pausing between two consecutive pages, trying to emulate as best as possible the behavior of a human performing a regular search. For each engine, it will only do a single query at a time.
Done in a "safe" way, although automated, this task could take a while. Therefore, Advanced Web Ranking also uses random user agents to speed up the process and keep the same safety parameters.
When this feature is enabled, Advanced Web Ranking will randomly select, from a large list of browser user agents, a different one for each search engine query it makes. This way it will look like the queries are made each time from a different browser.
You can read more details about how you can use the Random User Agents feature into the Advanced Web Ranking User Guide.
