Where can I find my license key?

The application license key was sent to you with your purchase confirmation email.

If you lost the email, you should also be able to retrieve your license key from the Help menu within the application, choosing the Register option or you can write to our support team and they will help you recover it.

What's the difference between extension and renewal?

You can extend your Maintenance Plan only while valid. If your Plan has expired, you will need to renew it in order to regain the benefits of an active Maintenance Plan.

By extending your Plan before it expires, you will also save 40% of the renewal price.

Does the extension add to the current plan?

Yes. The newly purchased extension will add another 12 or 24 months of Maintenance Plan to your existing plan.

Therefore, if your current Plan is still valid for another two months, by purchasing an extension of 12 months you will have 14 months of active Maintenance Plan.

What happens if I don't extend my plan?

By choosing not to extend your Plan, you will lose, once the Plan expires, all the benefits of a valid Maintenance Plan: application updates, search engine updates and technical support.

With an expired Plan, you will be able to regain these benefits only by purchasing a more expensive, Maintenance Plan Renewal.

Can I upgrade if I have an expired Maintenance Plan?

You need to have a valid Maintenance Plan to be able to upgrade your Advanced Web Ranking license. Once you purchase the upgrade, you will also get 6 additional months of Maintenance Plan, free of charge.

What happens with my valid Plan after upgrading?

When upgrading to a higher license, your valid Maintenance Plan is also upgraded automatically. More than that, a license upgrade will also entitle you to 6 additional months of Maintenance Plan, free of charge.

What are the Link Credits?

Advanced Web Ranking retrieves the link information from SEOmoz, using a Link Credits mechanism. Link credits are used to retrieve three types of link information: external links, anchor text distribution and domain link metrics.

Each Advanced Web Ranking license you purchase comes bundled with 2,000 free link credits, that you can use to start gathering valuable link information. After these initial link credits are consumed, you can easily purchase new link credits to continue gathering links information from SEOmoz.

When Will My Purchased Credits Become Active?

You will be able to use the purchased link credits right away. They will be automatically applied to your existing Advanced Web Ranking license key once the purchase order has been processed.

How many credits are used for retrieving external backlinks?

For one link credit, you receive information for one external link, containing: the link URL, the related anchor text, the page rank and page authority related to this link, no follow information, and image type identification.

This information is further displayed in the application in reports like "Top Backlinks" and "Hub Sites".

Data retrieved for one link is related to the metrics and anchor text of that specific external link.

Do I need a SEOmoz account?

No. Your Advanced Web Ranking license key is sufficient to be able to get more link credits. You just choose the number of credits you wish to assign for retrieving new link information and Advanced Web Ranking will handle the gathering process from SEOmoz for you, without any other registration required.

How many credits are used for retrieving overall anchor text distribution details?

For one link credit, you receive one anchor text, the total number of links with this anchor text and the linking root domain information. The anchor text distribution information is retrieved from the total number of external links that exist for your domain or subdomain, regardless of how many links you have gathered under item 1.

This information is further displayed in the application in the "Anchor Text Distribution" report.

All the details retrieved for one anchor text are related to the total number of external links back to your domain or subdomain.

Should I Trust SEOmoz Links?

The links are retrieved directly from SEOmoz's database, Linkscape. Besides being one of the most popular SEO communities, SEOmoz is also one of the few developers of an online links databases and the author of the well known metrics: Domain Authority, Page Authority, mozRank and mozTrust.

SEOmoz refreshes its links database once per month, so you can retrieve new link information with Advanced Web Ranking every month.

How many credits are used for retrieving overall links domain information?

For one link credit, you receive a complete overview of the link metrics, with the related total number of external links and external followed links, for one domain or subdomain you have added in your AWR project.

This information is further displayed in the application in the "Overview" report, showing the anchor text information in relation with the keywords that are already added to your project.

Details retrieved for one domain or subdomain in your project are relevant for the total number of external links back to that domain or subdomain. This information is gathered automatically when the application retrieves minimum 250 external link information for that domain or subdomain.

How Can I Track My Used Credits?

Advanced Web Ranking provides you with a detailed history of your transactions so you can check at any time to see what happened with your consumed credits.

By accessing a SEOmoz History page directly from the application, you can see the number of credits consumed, the request type and requested domain, and also how many credits you had left at a certain point in time.

Can I Choose Which Link Data To Gather?

Advanced Web Ranking will gather new link information only for the number of links, anchor texts and metrics you choose, and only when you want them, making the entire process fully customizable.

On each project update, the application will search for fresh link information from SEOmoz. If new data is found, it will be retrieved according to your own instructions, for the domains and subdomains that you select. You will be able to control the estimated number of link credits consumed for your project's update through an user friendly dialog, by setting a limit on the number of links and / or anchor texts retrieved for each domain and subdomain.

For example, if you choose to get only 1,000 links for each of your selected domains, Advanced Web Ranking will gather only the first, most powerful 1,000 external links, according to their mozRank value granted by SEOMoz.

The minimum number of credits you can assign for retrieving links or overall anchor texts for one domain is 250.

If you choose to get 1,000 links and Advanced Web Ranking finds only 800 external links back to your website, the application will use only 800 of your available credits.

How Do I Know How Many Credits I Have Left?

The number of remaining credits is always available in the Retrieving links options dialog. Here, you can also manage your link information retrievals. This way, you can always see how many credits you will have left before the actual update is performed.

When there are no credits left, you will receive automatically a notification email to prevent you from running out of credits before a scheduled update.

How Often Are Links Updated?

SEOmoz refreshes its database once per month. Thus, although you might run project updates more often, Advanced Web Ranking will not gather link information and consume credits unless fresh data is available.

Each time an update is performed, new links, anchor texts and metrics information is retrieved for your selected domains and subdomains, reflecting the status of your link building information on the date of the update.

The link information from the previous updates will be kept in your Advanced Web Ranking database, so you will be able to see the status of your external links, anchor texts and link metrics in comparison mode.

What Happens If I Have The Same Domain in More Projects?

Credits are used only one time for the link information retrieved for one domain or subdomain, during an update, regardless of how many projects you have created with that domain.

For example, if you have the same domain added in project A and in project B, and for project A you need 1,000 links while for project B you need 1,500 links, the application will use 1,000 credits and show the first 1,000 links in project A, and 500 credits to show the first 1,500 links in project B.
